I’m Edd, an independent musician with a passion for instrumental Rock and Metal from Italy. I have composed over 350 albums, and I will continue to create more. My music is always free for everyone because I believe in sharing. I am thrilled to share it with you!
Dive Deeper
It’s hard to pin down my music to a single genre. It’s fundamentally instrumental progressive rock/metal with classical and jazz influences. Each album is crafted as a single composition with a unique sound / theme. Be sure to listen to the entire album to fully appreciate it.
Most of the albums don’t also have videos on youtube, you can find them on Bandcamp or other stores. Here I have organized the albums by style, main scale / sound used, whether it has videos on youtube or not etc, take a look at the categories of the site.
All my music obviously has my personality, but I mainly have 3 genres or composition styles:
Instrumental Rock & Metal Classic Albums
Similar to Break or Metal Sonata: These albums have the classic structure of Rock and Metal, but the guitar sings.
Instrumental Rock & Metal Progressive Album
Similar to Walk In Time or Forbidden Dreams: In general these albums have a progressive and natural structure.
Instrumental Rock & Metal with emphasis on rhythm
Similar to Lost in Space or Black Forest: The emphasis is on the rhythm section over the melodic section.
Compilations:
I create a Memory Frames Compilation every 10 albums, the track I choose isn’t necessarily the best, it’s the one I think of first when I think of the album.
If you want to start exploring my music, I recommend starting with the compilations, but keep in mind that each album is to be considered as a single composition and should be listened to in its entirety to fully appreciate it.
Weekly Piano Improvisations
I also love playing the piano. Although I’m not the pianist I’d like to be, I publish a new improvisation every week.
I have more or less always played the piano but I only started studying it seriously around 2020, since then I have been doing one improvisation a week, usually on Wednesdays I publish it on eddysss piano bandcamp, and then on Sundays on YouTube.
When I do improvisations, I put my hands on the keyboard and take them off after half an hour, I don’t care what my hands do! I hope you like them.
